Time to adjust the belt tension and center the belt on the
pulley. LS650, year 2000, used bike. (I love it).
I looked at my Suzuki service manual and then at the
bike... seems that my axel is on backwards. 17mm axle
rod head is on the "brake hub side" (right side as you sit on
the bike) and the 24mm(?) axel nut is on the left side.
This is the opposite of what I see in the manual.
Checked the Clymer manual ('86-88) and I what I see looks
like my set up, with the 17mm axle rod head on right side,
brake hub side.
Two questions:
1. I have to go out and buy a wrench large enough to
fit the axle head... is 24mm the right size?
2. Do I need to worry about which side the axel nut
is on?
thank you!
